Clinical Governance in the NHS demands that the clinical management of work-related health problems is evidence-based.
The development of guidance for occupational medicine and occupational health is in its infancy. The CLINICAL FRAMEWORKS that have been developed for the CLINICAL & EVALUATION UNIT utilise available guidance and other information, including consensus views, to produce practical and effective schema to assist occupational health practitioners.
The frameworks are not considered to represent definitive guidelines and clinicians using them retain responsibility for their actions and decisions.
